Val Watson was born on Kangaroo Island and has 5 adult children by her first marriage, some of whom still live on KI, whilst the others visit regularly. Since returning to live on KI after several years working in NT, Val worked for Island Court Motels in an administrative role and then in Customer Service at the Island Beehive. Enjoying retirement, Val now works alongside Bob, thereby creating a Dynamic Duo and generally meeting and greeting with clients.
Bob Watson was born in NZ 65 years ago and has adult 4 children still living there. In 1983 he emigrated to Australia and met his future wife Val while he was working for the NT Government in Darwin at Dept of Lands & Housing. Bob and Val married 22 years ago and moved to Kangaroo Island permanently when Val’s parents needed more care as they became older and more frail. Bob then became the electricity meter reader for SA Power Networks for 12 years and he also created a Fire Extinguisher sales and service business. In early 2015 a chance introduction to Lynne has seen him take several new roles, including creating the WOW factor in the Kangaroo Island Real Estate Display Cabinets, erecting For Sale signs, property management inspections and well as coordinating repairs and maintenance on the rental properties.
